Absences
If your child is absent from C.A.R.E.S. for any reason (absent from school, early dismissal, car rider, bus rider, etc.) you must contact Ms. Haerer to report the absence from C.A.R.E.S. that day. You may email or call the Wildwood C.A.R.E.S. number to report it. Please be aware that notes are not always forwarded to C.A.R.E.S. so please notify us of any daily schedule changes.
Note: Those who habitually do not notify C.A.R.E.S. of absences will be assessed a $20 finder's fee. Regular non-communication of absences may be grounds for suspension / termination from the program as stated in the Handbook.
Medical
If your child has any medical concerns, please let Ms. Haerer know. If your child requires an inhaler or EPI-Pen for school, one must also be provided for C.A.R.E.S. A doctor's note must accompany any medication.
Tuition
All tuition payments are due at the 1st of every month. Monthly invoices are NOT sent to you. All payments must be sent to the CA.R.E.S. office at the North Intermediate School at 320 Salem Street, Wilmington, MA 01887
Please make payments out to: Wilmington C.A.R.E.S. Program.
Pick Up
Afternoon pick up is in the cafe. Your child's belongings will be in the hallway along the library. You must sign your child out. Please have identification ready in case you are asked to present it at pick up.
Pick up is NO LATER THAN 5:45 p.m. A late fee goes into effect at 5:46 p.m. $15 for the first 1-10 minutes and an additional $1 every minute after that. In the event you cannot be here by 5:45, please make every effort to have a back up pick up and let C.A.R.E.S. know of the alternate arrangements.
**After 3 late pick ups during the school year, you are subject to a 1 month suspension from the program**
If someone other than yourself is picking up your child, please email or call ahead to let us know. The person picking up MUST have their ID with them. Please have them call (978)815-1504 so we may let them in the door.
**Please note that unless there is a scheduled meeting with a teacher, access to the classrooms and other parts of the school is not allowed. If you are still on school property after pick up (playground, field) access back into the building is not allowed. This is for safety reasons.**
**In addition to the Main Office at the Wildwood, you MUST make the C.A.R.E.S. Program aware of any legal documentation regarding parental discretion's. This information is not always shared by the office. Please see Ms. Haerer if you have any questions or concerns in this regard.**
